ASOW collaborated with WFP to conduct a comprehensive pre-lean season assessment spanning across 34 provinces in Afghanistan. The joint initiative focused on disbursing funds provided by WFP, primarily aimed at covering surveyor salaries. ASOW meticulously managed these funds, ensuring prompt and accurate salary transfers to contracted surveyors. The payments were facilitated through bank transactions and, in some instances, in cash following meticulous documentation verification. ASOW’s pivotal contribution lay in providing salaries exclusively to the surveyors involved. The primary objective of this assessment was to gauge the level of poverty in Afghanistan. Throughout the project, ASOW maintained consistent and transparent communication, submitting regular progress reports to WFP, underscoring its commitment to accountable and efficient project management.
