WFP UCSS Food and Cash Distribution Project (AF01-1302)
ASOW undertook an extensive survey to identify the most vulnerable households within 8, 12, and 16 PDs of Kabul City. This meticulous assessment facilitated precise targeting, enabling ASOW to offer WFP in-kind support to some households and cash-based transfers (CBT) to others identified as most in need. Overall, during this project we provided assistance to 149,800 people. This strategic intervention aimed to enhance the food security and overall welfare of the recipients. ASOW specifically prioritized women-headed households, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable segments of the community while selecting beneficiaries, ensuring equitable assistance distribution.
