Celebrating ASOW’s Fourth Anniversary!

Today marks four years since the Afghan Social Organization for Women (ASOW) was founded. Despite the immense challenges in Afghanistan, particularly for organizations advocating for women’s rights, ASOW has achieved remarkable progress.

Over these years, we have implemented numerous WFP-sponsored projects, provided cash and food assistance to tens of thousands of households across Kabul, Bamiyan, and Daikundi, and created job opportunities for hundreds of men and women. ASOW has grown stronger by building partnerships with key stakeholders, improving our financial systems, and undergoing successful external audits.

In these difficult times, we remain steadfast in our mission to uplift Afghan women and ensure their place in shaping a better future. Our commitment to providing essential services and advocating for women’s rights has only strengthened. ASOW stands as one of Afghanistan’s most advanced NGOs, and we look forward to continuing this vital work in the years to come.

Thank you to our dedicated team, partners, and supporters who have made this journey possible.

Marzia Mohammadi,

Executive Director
