In pursuit of enhancing the welfare of vulnerable households in 6 and 7 PDs of Kabul City, and Kahmard, Saighan, Ghandak, Shibar, and Central Bamyan Districts of Bamian province, ASOW demonstrated unwavering commitment by establishing a regional office in Bamyan Province. The project covered 191,100 people in the two PDs of Kabul City and five districts of Bamian province. This strategic decision facilitated the efficient distribution of WFP food assistance to these identified districts, even amidst the challenging terrains and harsh weather conditions in Bamyan Province. Collaborating closely with local authorities and entities, ASOW ensured seamless coordination, culminating in the successful delivery of essential sustenance to those in need. This concerted effort not only strengthened ASOW’s capacity but also fostered robust partnerships with local stakeholders, including authorities, NGOs, and community members.
